Victoria Bridge Abutment

The ‘buckmoon’ shines bright through this sunset portrait photoset at the Victoria Bridge Abutment in Brisbane City. This landmark and incredible display of workmanship in architecture was constructed in 1896 and holds a significance for Brisbane as it was the second permanent bridge to cross the Brisbane river throughout this historic time. Now heritage listed, it stands made of stone with an in-scripted tablet placed on the stone reading “Every Land Is His Native Land To A Brave Man”. A standing piece of history overlooking the city.
